For the past 15 years, Trevor has held multiple roles as a Director of Mental Conditioning and Director of the multi-disciplined IMG Performance Institute (at the IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida). After IMG he took on the role of Vice President of Pro/Elite Sports and Mindset at the prestigious Athletes Performance Institute (now EXOS in Phoenix, AZ). Most recently, Trevor has formed his own business in the Mental Conditioning world as Founder and President of Moawad Consulting Group, where he works with MJP’s elite and professional athletes in self-awareness and mental skills training.
Josh is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as a Performance Coach via USA Weightlifting.
Trevor was raised in Washington State and is the son of world-renowned peak performance educator, the late Bob Moawad. Bob was an original contributor to ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ and is the former President of the National Association for Self Esteem, and a past winner of Tacoma’s Man of the Year.
As an athlete, Trevor was inducted into the athletic hall of fame at Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma, Washington, and was a two-sport athlete at Occidental College, the same school that produced both Jack Kemp and Barack Obama. At Occidental, Trevor received both his Bachelors degree and Masters Degree in Politics and Education respectively.
He continues to be a thought leader in the performance space appearing consistently in the global media including ESPN, SI, CBS Sports, Fox Sports, Sirius-XM, NPR, USA Today, The Herald Tribune, Outside the Lines and a number of national, regional and local outlets.
Trevor has served 10 seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide and 8 seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars as the teams’ mental conditioning consultant and enters his 8th season in the same role with Florida State University Football. He works with both coaches and players, and has been a part of five of the last seven national champions in NCAA Football. Trevor also served on the board of directors for the National Association for Self Esteem and is a member of US Soccer’s National Sport Psychology staff. He is well known for being the mental coach to Seattle Seahawks quarterback and Super Bowl Champion, Russell Wilson. Trevor’s work also extends beyond the sports world and into the board room where he works with executives from a collection of top businesses as well as strategic partners in the US Army Special Operations Command community (USASOC) to help support their continued mission to get the most out of both leadership and operators.
