Drew is a Performance Nutrition Specialist at Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, Texas and has been with the team since 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2009, and holds a certification in Precision Nutrition Level 1 and Level 2.
Drew received his Precision Nutrition level 1 certification in 2010 and received his Precision Nutrition level 2 certification in the spring of 2016. This program was a 52-week mentor program with the PN coaching staff working with real clients with specific issues and challenging life circumstances to help achieve their performance, health, and other specific goals. Drew believes in a top to bottom approach when it comes to sports nutrition. Frequent and consistent monitoring, individualizing supplementation programs, individualizing nutritional guidelines, and developing appropriate training programs are all pieces of the puzzle that need to sync together in order to achieve the athletes body composition and performance goals.
The value Drew brings to the team is his ability to blend his experiences as a strength & conditioning coach and nutrition coach in order to provide the nutritional needs to match the demands of training and competition. Drew prides himself in coaching with a client-centered approach and believes any program must be able to provide strategies that are ethical, efficient, and effective.
