Cortney Davis is a Performance Specialist at Michael Johnson Performance in McKinney, Texas. Her primary role is to implement all athletic development (NextGen) services, such as core classes, 1 to 1 training, teams. Additionally, she oversees all Athletic Development evaluation operations as well as athletic development combine testing for teams and off-site programs.
Cortney was raised in Round Rock, TX participating in as many sports as she could growing up. Her passion for sports in general grew with her participation. She graduated from Mississippi Valley State University in May 2012 where she played softball, was a student athletic trainer during the off-season, and earned her Bachelors of Science in Health Physical Education and Recreation. Cortney later graduated in May 2015 from Texas Tech University with a Master’s of Science in Exercise Sports Science and an emphasis in Sports Psychology. During her master’s program she taught a variety of health, fitness & wellness classes.
Before joining the MJP team full-time, Cortney started in our externship program in the fall of 2016. Later she joined the team as a seasonal Performance Specialist and transitioned to a part-time Performance Specialist in January 2017, while also assisting as a Physical Therapy Technician.
