Jarod began his coaching career while pursuing an undergraduate degree in Strength and Conditioning at Oklahoma Baptist University. During his time at the university, Jarod was a 3 sport athlete, with roles as a Kicker/Punter for the football team, a Springboard Diver for the Swimming and Diving team (winning 4 consecutive National Championships, 8x All American, 2014 Male Diver of the Year, 2014 1m Springboard National Champion), and a member of the OBU Outdoor Track and Field team (Javelin/High Jump). He then decided to continue his football career while pursuing a Masters Degree in Sports Management where he was elected captain of the ECU football team.
Jarod’s experience as an athlete has led to his transition into coaching. Since he started at MJP, he has coached offsite High School programs, supported the education of interns/externs on MJP philosophies and training executions, and trained high performance athletes such as Shaquem Griffin (Seahawks), DJ Chark (Jaguars), Donte Jackson (Panthers), Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (Rams), Steven Parker (Dolphins), Charvarius Ward (Chiefs) through the MJP NFL Pro day/Combine training program.
